PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, as well as a jig, for bonding a ferrule and an optical fiber, a method which leaves no air bubbles in an adhesive in fixing an optical fiber in a ferrule and facilitates mass production for adhesive filling operation. SOLUTION: This method is constituted of an optical fiber inserting process, in which an optical fiber f is inserted into inserting holes 7A, 7B of a ferrule 5, a sealing process in which a tip end opening 8B is sealed in the inserting hole 7B at the front end of the ferrule 5, an adhesive dropping process in which a filling adhesive H is dropped in the rear end opening 6A of the inserting hole 7A at the rear end of the ferrule 5, a ferrule-mounting process in which the rear end opening 6A of the ferrule is arranged on the sticking jig 1 rotating around the rotary axis, an adhesive filling process in which the adhesive H is filled in the optical fiber inserting holes 7A, 7B of the ferrule 5, and an adhesive hardening process in which the adhesive H so filled is hardened.
