PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing malfunction of volume that eliminates chattering caused by turning on/off an internal switch of a rotary encoder or chattering caused by vibration. SOLUTION: In a device 1 for preventing malfunction of volume that detects an output pattern of a pair of pulses that are outputted in response to a turning operation and whose phases differ from each other, a pair of the pulses 'E', 'F' are given respectively to shift registers 21a, 21b, after combining outputs of each stage of the shift registers 21a, 21b, a trigger generating section 30 generates edge signals 'R', 'O' and a volume up/down detection section 40 detects a turning direction based on an output pattern of the edge signals 'R', 'O'. |
