PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear medical diagnostic system in which the contour of a specimen can be obtained accurately and easily. SOLUTION: A distance sensor 2 is mounted on the detection plane of aγray detector 1 and turned around a specimen 4 along with theγray detector 1. Distance to the surface of the specimen 4 is measured over the entire surface thereof in order to operate the contour of the specimen 4 thus obtaining the contour of the specimen 4 accurately and easily. On the other hand, theγray detector 1 is shifted, at a specified interval, in the axial direction of the specimen 4 and the distance to the surface of the specimen 4 is measured, at each position, over the entire surface thereof in order to operate the contour of the specimen 4 for a plurality of tomographic planes thereof thus obtaining the contour of the specimen 4 three-dimensionally.
