PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high resonance frequency of an FRP-made propeller shaft. SOLUTION: In a propeller shaft having an FRP-made main body cylinder, the main body cylinder is provided with an inner layer hoop wound layer made from a single layer wherein reinforced fiber is wound in a direction of -80 deg. to -90 deg. or +80 deg. to +90 deg. to an axial direction, an outer layer hoop wound layer made from a single layer wherein reinforced fiber is wound in a direction of +80 deg. to +90 deg. or -80 deg. to -90 deg. to the axial direction, and a helical wound layer disposed between the inner hoop wound layer and the outer hoop wound layer and wherein reinforced fiber is wound in a direction of±θdeg. to the axial direction. If regarding the resonance frequency of the propeller shaft as f0 when a winding angle of the reinforced fiber in the helical wound layer is±0, and regarding the winding angle of he reinforced fiber in which the resonance frequency of the propeller shaft becomes f0 again when increasing the winding angle of the reinforced fiber as±θS deg. (θS>0), the reinforced fiber has a tensile elastic modulus showing the peak of resonance frequency larger than f0 in the range from 0 deg. toθS deg..
