PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and highly reliable irreversible circuit element where high frequency components placed in a case can easily and surely be fitted without the need for a large-sized case for the irreversible circuit element and to provide a communication device using the circuit element. SOLUTION: The irreversible circuit is configured such that center conductors 51, 52, 53 are placed in crossing with each other on a ferrite 54 to which a DC magnetic field is applied and matching capacitors C1, C2, C3 are respectively connected between port sections P1, P2, P3 of the center conductor 51, 52, 53 and the ground. A board 11 on which resistor R is mounted in advance is fitted in a resin case 7.
