PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing for a liquid crystal display element with an excellent manufacturing yield. SOLUTION: A hologram photosensitive material 7, formed on a first transparent substrate 6, is exposed by using a master hologram 1 as a mask and subsequently developed so as to form a hologram lens 10 and a trimming mark 11 running alongside the circumference of the lens 10 and maintaining a specified breadth L from the edge part of the lens 10. Succeedingly, the hologram photosensitive material 7 outside the trimming mark 11 is removed and a hologram filter 12 is manufactured. Furthermore, an ultraviolet curing adhesive 15 is formed on a second substrate 16 and subsequently the first substrate 6 side is placed opposite to the second substrate 16 and the ultraviolet curing adhesive 15 is placed outside the trimming mark 11. The hologram filter 12 is mounted on the ultraviolet curing adhesive 15 and successively ultraviolet rays irradiate the hologram filter 12 from the first substrate 6 side.
