PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electromagnetic relay while preventing the coil from being cut off. SOLUTION: A body 3a of a coil bobbin 3 is divided into an upper part 3u covering the top 1u of a body 1a of an iron core 1, and a lower part (3s) covering the bottom (1s) of the body of the iron core. The right and left sides (1m) and (1h) of the body 1a of the iron core are not covered by the body of the coil bobbin. The left and right sides 3u' and 3s' of the upper part 3u and lower part 3s of the body of the coil bobbin are made even respectively with the left and right sides (1h) and (1m) of the body of the iron core, and corners (1d) of the body of the iron core are not exposed. The four corners (3d) on the outside of the body of the coil bobbin are rounded. A coil (11) is wound without contacting the corners of the body of the iron core.
