ANCHOR COATING COMPOSITION FOR WATER-BASED PRINTING INK AND HEAT SHRINKABLE LABEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anchor coating composition for water-based printing ink which shows excellent adhesion property and printing adaptability of water- based ink when water-based printing ink is used for printing and which fast develops the adhesion strength. SOLUTION: The anchor coating composition for water-based printing ink is to be applied on the body to be printed prior to printing with water-based printing ink, and the composition contains an acrylic copolymer resin and a nitrogen atom-containing polymer compound. The weight ratio of the acrylic copolymer resin to the nitrogen atom-containing polymer compound is, for example, 70/30 to 99/1. The anchor coating composition may contain at least one kind selected from alcohol and water as a solvent. The anchor coating composition can be used as an anchor coating agent to form an anchor coating layer of a heat shrinkable label printed with water-based printing ink.
