PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub device which reduces reduction of response of data transfer between nodes different in transmission speed at a low cost. SOLUTION: Transmission speeds of nodes connected to first to eighth ports 231 to 238 are recognized by first to eighth automatic recognition parts 251 to 258 corresponding to individual ports. A first or second bus switching part 261 or 262 sends data inputted from multiple ports to a 10Mbps bus group 21 or a 10Mbps bus group 22 corresponding to the transmission speed recognized by each automatic recognition part. When an automatic recognition part connected to each bus switching part has the same transmission speed as this data, data is sent to the corresponding automatic recognition part without passing bus group 21 and 22. Data sent to bus groups 21 and 22 is not only transferred to another bus switching part but also delivered to a bus having a different transmission speed by a bridge circuit 24 and is transferred to corresponding automatic recognition parts in each bus switching part.
