PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device small in size, light in weight, high in reliability and capable of being manufactured by highly precisely aligning a panel fixing frame, liquid crystal panel, spacer, back light unit, and back light fixing frame in small man-hours, and to provide an electronic equipment using the display device. SOLUTION: A spacer 30 and a back light fixing frame 56, and the back light fixing frame 56 and a shield case 64 are integrally formed of metallic materials so as to be foldable with on side in, common respectively. In this case, the boundary line of each common side is provided with a notched part. A liquid crystal panel 14 is positioned and fixed at prescribed positions in a face parallel with a frame part 30a by a positioning part 30d of the spacer 30 between the panel fixing frame 12 and the spacer 30. The back light unit 40 is positioned and fixed as prescribed positions in a face almost in parallel with a bottom face part 57 by a positioning part 58 of the backlight fixing frame 56 between the spacer 30 and the backlight fixing face 56.
