PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a database for registered roads and make the shape of a road on a map coincide with the shape of the actual road. SOLUTION: This device comprises a present position detecting means; a data recording means 16, a traveling road data output processing means 91 for outputting a traveling road data concerning the road on which a vehicle is traveled, a traveling track data calculating processing means 92 for calculating a traveling track data showing the traveling track of the vehicle, a correcting track data forming processing means 95 for forming a correcting track data, and a correction data forming processing means 96 for forming a correction data to be recorded in the data base on the basis of the traveling road data and the correcting track data. Since the correction data is formed based on the traveling road data and the correcting track data, the shape of the road on the map can be made to coincide with the shape of the actual road. |
