PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized piezoelectric resonator with less vibration energy loss. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric resonator formed by providing a vibrator 5 consisting of a piezoelectric body 3 held between a pair of electrodes 2 and 4 onto a substrate 1, at least either of the electrodes of the piezoelectric resonator is formed to sawtooth-shape and slopes 9a and 9b configuring its teeth 8 have an angle of about 45 degrees with respect to the surface 3a of the piezoelectric body 3.
