PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge granulating and drying device, capable of manufacturing granulated and dried sludge, containing good quality carbide obtained by mixing sludge to be dried into the carbide sufficiently, stably and nicely at a low cost, while capable of being facilitated in the control of operation and reduced in the control of maintenance. SOLUTION: The sludge granulating and drying device is a device for manufacturing granulated and dried sludge, containing carbide, and is constituted substantially of a sludge granulating and drying process 10, a sludge to be dried supplying process 11 for supplying the sludge to be dried into the sludge granulating and drying process 10, and a carbide supplying process 12, supplying the carbide to the sludge granulating and drying process 10 and/or the sludge to be dried supplying process 11.
