A roller-shutter security door or blind comprises linked-together strips, which wind onto a mandrel (2) supported by end caps (7,7a) in a storage housing compartment (6). The mandrel can be rotated by an internal motor (9) which is fixed to a carrier plate (11) by screws (13). The carrier plate and its securing screws are supported and spaced apart from the adjacent end cap (7) by insulating bushes (18,19). The mandrel at the opposite end to the drive motor may also be insulated from the end cap (7a) by an insulating bush (29), preventing direct contact with the bearing (30). A typical insulant is rubber, Shore Hardness A60 -80 deg .
