PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle structure that is easily attachable and detachable in a short time. SOLUTION: A handle strap 6 for lead storage battery comprises a cord 8 whose both ends are integrally provided with stops 7 shaped like a nearly rectangular parallelepiped by insertion molding. The stop 7 is designed to have a size of longitudinal length 7a < height 7c < transverse length 7b. The cover 2 of a battery is provided with a nearly rectangular opening 5, whose short edge 5a is greater than the longitudinal length 7a and less than the height 7c of the stop. The side of the cover 2 is provided with a nearly convex opening 4, whose lower end length 4a and height 4b are greater than height 7c of the stop.
