PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is ample in the power of expression by functioning the device as a poster type signboard utilizing the sunlight in the daytime and as an image display device of a luminous image display device in the nighttime and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: A plurality of display modules 1 each of which is a triangular prism shape having three display surfaces and is obtained by aligning and arranging light emitting cells 2 of light emitting diodes in a longitudinal direction on the one display surface and forming characters and designs constituting the elements of display images on the other two display surfaces are paralleled and rotatably installed on the wall or roof of a building. In the day time, the one image is formed by rotating the display modules 1 and displaying one of the other two display surfaces. In the nighttime, a display screen of a luminous system in a matrix form by the combinations of the surfaces having the light emitting cells 2 is formed by rotating the display modules 1. The visual recognition of the still pictures and animation images formed by the light emitting cells 2 is made possible by starting the power supply to the respective display modules 1.
