MULTIPLE MODE DIELECTRIC RESONATOR, FILTER, DUPLEXER AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple mode dielectric resonator having TM and TE multiplexed mode that facilitates coupling between the resonance modes and can take many sequential coupling stages of the resonance modes per single dielectric core and to provide a filter and a duplexer using the dielectric resonator and a communication device using them. SOLUTION: The dielectric core 10 placed in a cavity 2 consists of a TM mode dielectric core board section 11 and of a TE mode dielectric core section 12 that is swollen asymmetrically from the core section 11 in vertical direction so that the TMx mode and the TEz mode are coupled and also the TMy mode and the TEz mode are coupled through the asymmetry of the TE mode dielectric core section 12 with respect to the TM mode dielectric core board section 11.
