PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting configuration for reinforcing a frame structure to support the laser scanner of an image forming device and eliminating the shake and distortion of the laser light beam of the laser scanner. SOLUTION: In this image forming device for reproducing an image on an image carrier by the laser light beam, the frame structure 20 for supporting the laser scanner 5 is fundamentally constituted so that lower parts of front and back frames 21 and 22 obtained by combining square pipes are connected to each other with connection use square pipes 23 and 24. Then, a plate-like reinforcing member 26 consisting of a rigid body is fixed to upper square pipes 21-1 and 22-1 between the frames 21 and 22 requiring the reinforcing of the structure 20, and a supporting body 50 for supporting the various kinds of optical members constituting the laser scanner 5 is fixed to and supported by the reinforcing member 26.
