PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening degree detection mechanism for a valve capable of constitution at a low cost in small size, by eliminating necessity for making explosion-proof construction even for the valve arranged in a hazardous region. SOLUTION: This valve 1, by operating a valve element 1A rotated through its rotary shaft 1C by an actuator 1B, opens/closes a pipe line 3 interposing the valve, this opening degree detection mechanism 2 is constituted by winding around an operating wire 2B between a drive disc 2A fixed to the rotary shaft 1C of the valve element 1A and a pulley 22 of a detection mechanism part 20 also so as to operate a limit switch 23 by moving this operating wire 2B.
