PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke, which can reduce power consumption by enhancing the effect of deflection magnetic field caused by horizontal deflection coil. SOLUTION: A deflection yoke 15 comprises a horizontal deflection coil 16 generating horizontal deflection magnetic field, a vertical deflection coil 17 placed outside of the vertical deflection coil 16 and generating a vertical deflection magnetic field, a core 18 placed outside the vertical deflection coil 17, and a sub-core 20 placed outside the vertical deflection coil 16, at rear end of yoke from the vertical deflection coil 17.
