PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document distribution system for automatic facsimile transmission, with which a document is transmitted to facsimile equipment on the side of a client without printing the document on a paper medium and a document is transmitted from a facsimile server in a shortest distance to a client in the case of transmitting the document to the client. SOLUTION: When key information corresponding to the client is received from a personal computer 1, an AP server 2 acquires order information and FAX transmission destination information corresponding to this key information from a DB server 3. The AP server 2 prepares document image data from the order information and prepares transmitting instruction data from the FAX transmission destination information. The AP server 2 transmits the document image data and the transmitting instruction data to a FAX server 4 closest to the client.
