INFORMATION PROCESSOR AND EXCEPTION RESTORATION PROCESSING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing speed of exception restoration by a small member of hardwares. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with an exception instruction word register 51 for holding the instruction word of an exception factor instruction when any exception is generated due to the execution of the instruction and a selector 23 for selecting either an instruction word on a memory 10 or a instruction word in a register 51. When the re-execution of the exception factor instruction is necessary at the end of exception recovery processing, the instruction word of the exception factor instruction held in the register 51 is selectively fetched according to a re-execution instruction(REI) applied from the memory 10 so that processing for the re-execution of the instruction necessary in restoring the original normal processing from the excerption recovery processing can be realized only by the execution of one REI instruction. Thus, it is not necessary to operate any complicate processing such as emulation or self-alternation code in software which is necessary for the re-execution of the instruction in a conventional manner.
