<p>The front end (2) of the ski (1) is upturned on a gentle arc of a circle in side view, and is pointed with ogee sides in plan view. The sides blend into the waisted central portion (3), which has a block (5) carrying the ski binding (7,8). The rear portion (4) of the ski tapers out again and is cut off nearly square to form a dovetail-shaped end. The front end of the ski blends gently into the slightly arched profile of the central portion, and the end portion is slightly convex in side view.</p> |
