A prosthesis for a joint replacement, e.g. a hip replacement, is shaped to fit into the upper end of the bore after preparing a bore. The upper end of the prosthesis has rasp profiles (23) to secure a hold inside the spongiform inner bone structure. The rasp profiles are flanked by smooth profiles (25) with ribbed profiles at the edges of the rasp profiles to enhance the grip. |
