The shut-off valve has a spindle (3) which can be moved axially using a lockable hand wheel (5) and a limiter (6) which limits the amount by which the spindle can rise. A protective cap (7) with an internal thread is screwed on to this. The limiter can be locked against axial movement using the limiter.
