PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment such as facsimile equipment or MFP capable of changing equipment setting information without interrupting a job, which has a danger of trouble, under processing in the case of applying the change of stored equipment setting information. SOLUTION: The change request of equipment setting information 12a, which is stored in a RAM 12, on communication is accepted and the accepted change request (change job) is processed preferentially rather than the other job. Thus, it is discriminated whether or not the occurrence of trouble such as interruption is estimated in processing of the said other job and when trouble is to occur, after the processing completion of this job, with which the occurrence of trouble is discriminated, is waited, the change job of the requested equipment setting processing is processed.
