<p>When a head unit having a head relative height Y of Y' is worked with a stock removal in finishing ΔGD of ΔGD', a relation between a distance Bo between a head front curved surface apex and a head gap that is determined in advance before and after polishing and a gap depth size GD is used for a head unit having approximately the same head relative height as Y' to determine Bo1 corresponding to a target value of Bo after polishing and use this as Bo1 of the head unit having a head relative height Y', whereby, since Bo1 corresponding to a target value is determined in advance before the front surface of a head tip is polished, a head unit having Bo within a specified value after polishing can be efficiently produced to thereby improve a yield.</p> |
