<p>A video recorder for recording video information including text information on a recording medium comprises an ADC for receiving video information sequentially, a section for extracting the text information from the video information, a video recording control section for omitting or doubly outputting a part of the received video information in a constant cycle regardless of the reception frequency of the video information, a text information recording control section for outputting the extracted text information in the constant cycle, and a section for recording the outputted video information and text information correlated with the video information in the reception order on the recording medium. The text information recording control section judges whether or not the value of the extracted text information is null under a specified condition. If it is null, the text information is excluded from the object to be outputted and the next text information is included in the object to be outputted from the text information output means.</p> |
