The arrangement has a reflector shell (3) at the rear side of a dial plate. The dial plate is opaque but has a holder for a light transmitted area, to form a scale on the dial plate. The reflector shell is shaped so that the light from a light diode (4) scatters diffusely from a reflector wall (5) onto the light transmitted area.
