The invention relates to an electromagnetic actuator in order to actuate a gas changer valve on a cylinder internal combustion machine comprising two electromagnets (1,2) located at a distance to each other which are each formed by a yoke body (16) provided with a winding (17) and a pole surface (4) and is mounted between an anchor (5) and can be moved to and fro and is located in guides (7) connected to the gas changer valve and comprises a divided housing (3) which at least partially surrounds both yoke bodies (16). Said yokes are fixed at a distance to each other via a poppet pin (15) and are provided with at least a cracked divided surface (21). The invention relates to an electromagnetic actuator which is used in order to actuate a gas exchanger valve on a reciprocating internal-combustion engine, comprising two electromagnets (1,2) which are arranged at a distance from each other and are formed respectively by a yoke body (16) which is provided with a winding (17) and a pole surface. An armature (5) which communicates with the gas exchange valve is mounted between the electromagnets in such a way that it can move backwards and forth in guiding mechanisms (7). The inventive actuator is also provided with a divided housing which at least partially surrounds both yoke bodies (16) and enables them to be secured to each other at a distance from each other by means of clamping screws (15).
