The interface (107a) connected between electronic control unit (101) and the arithmetic processor (104), has variable protocol converter (108a). The converter changes communication protocol for handling data output from the electronic controller and arithmetic processor alternately or simultaneously. The arithmetic processor is operated based on control program, using operation parameter of electronic control unit with microcomputer. The variable protocol converter of interface connected between electronic control unit and arithmetic processor, changes communication protocol based on specification of communication protocol adjustment information for alternatively or simultaneously handling data output from the control unit and the arithmetic processor.
