DIAPHRAGM OF PIEZOELECTRIC SOUND GENERATOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF

A diaphragm of a piezoelectric sound generator for use in a small-sized energy-saving piezoelectric speaker of improved quality. A diaphragm (12) that supports a piezoelectric element (10) and vibrates with it consists of a composite material including amorphous carbon and graphite. The diaphragm (12) is manufactured by mixing polymer resin with graphite powder, compressing the mixture into a thin disk, and baking it at temperature above 1000 DEG C in an inactive, nonoxidative or vacuum atmosphere to carbonize the polymer resin.
