The invention relates to an intraosseous single tooth implant for a fixed dental prosthesis, comprising a base body with a blind bore and a top which engages therein with a form fit and in a torsion-resistant manner. The essentially cylindrical cervical connecting area of said top essentially matches an essentially cylindrical coronal front edge area of the base body in terms of the outer diameter, the peripheral surface of said connecting area and the front edge area adjoining each other essentially jointlessly and smoothly. The invention is characterized in that the front edge area is provided with an esthetic layer with a warm gold color over part of its axial extension.
