A device and method for determining an exson-intron junction efficiently and precisely. The device is for determining an exson-intron junction in a genet ic region of a genome and comprises an input unit for inputting a cDNA of an organism (1) and the genetic region of an organism (2) corresponding to the cDNA, an operating unit for extracting two sequences (i,j) having ten or mor e not mutually overlapping bases in the genetic region of the organism (2) and calculating s(i,j)=s(x,yij)-C{(b-j)+(i-a)-(B-A2, a junction determining un it for selecting a combination of sequences (i,j) so that s(i,j) may be maximum , and an output unit for outputting the position of the determined exson-intro n junction. |
