PURPOSE: A method for optimizing power allocation to each code channel of a forward link in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) network is provided to allocate optimally power to each channel by setting gains of each channel. CONSTITUTION: An S/N ratio of a pilot channel corresponding to a predetermined service region of a forward link and an S/N ratio of a required traffic channel are determined. A digital gain of a synchronous channel and a paging channel are changed sequentially in the predetermined service region satisfying the determined S/N ratio of the pilot channel. The S/N ratio of the traffic channel is calculated by the changed digital gain of the synchronous channel and the paging channel. The calculated S/N ratio is compared with the S/N ratio of the determined traffic channel. The digital gain is determined as the gain of the synchronous channel and the paging channel when the calculated S/N ratio is equal to the S/N ratio of the determined traffic channel. |
