The invention concerns parallelepiped metal bars obtained by continuous or semi-continuous casting and designed to be stacked, comprising on at least one of the ridges with horizontal cross-section in the stack, or proximate thereto, at least a protuberance with a height ranging between 0.5 and 8 mm. The invention enables to obtain stacks of stable bars when they are being transported or handled.
