The ring zones(14,15) in the center section of the axle knuckle pin(8) are formed by cylindrical pin sections. The lower bearing section(13) of the knuckle pin has a larger diameter than the adjacent lower ring zone(15). The transition between the lower ring zone and adjacent bearing section of the pin is formed by a conical ring section(19) with which corresponds a bearing chamfer(20) located in the housing bore(3) of the axle stub(2) and which lies adjacent to the lower end face of the axle stub.
