An Independent claim is included for the method of manufacture in which a mold in the appropriate shape is prepared and filled with a liquid, semi-liquid or paste food composition as described. The mold is sealed once full. In a variant, cooking and extraction from the mold, take place in addition. The product is deep frozen. Preferred Features: The product comprises at least 40 wt% of protein from the animal source. It is pre-cooked and deep frozen. It can be consumed following cooking, re-cooking, unfreezing, or reheating in its packaging. It is nutritionally-enriched in comparison with the original meat. It is enriched in proteins and calcium. It also includes other basic nutritional ingredients, binders, texturing agents, colors, flavoring, stabilizers, vitamins and/or minerals. From the method, up to 50 wt.% of the protein is from the relevant animal source. |
