Apparatus for cleaning a tank or swimming pool comprises a float A propelled over the surface of the liquid in the tank or pool by liquid jets discharged in sequence from nozzles 40 and 42 (not shown) and carrying pendulous hoses 49, 50 discharging high pressure liquid through nozzles 53, 54 to clean the walls and floors of the tank or pool, the reaction of the jets at the nozles 53, 54 producing a whip-like movement of the hoses 49, 50. High pressure liquid is supplied to the float through a hose 45. |
