PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic system capable of self-diagnosing the failure and abnormality in the system, and feeding back a result of diagnosis to a user. SOLUTION: The voice input from a user is interpreted/recognized in a command recognition part, and the requirement of diagnosis is informed to a self- diagnosing part. The user can input the command for inspiring the self-diagnosis by means of the ordinary conversation such as 'Please perform the self- diagnosis', 'Robot how are you going on?' or the like. On the other hand, the robot can express the result of the self-diagnosis by means of the ordinary conversation such as 'Something is wrong', 'I feel bad', 'I have footsore', 'I am hungry' or the like.
