PURPOSE: An automatic feeding device is provided to adjust a feed length freely and to detect the feed length more effectively after embossing. CONSTITUTION: A feeding device comprises a rack gear(22), a converting device, several sensors(S1,S2) and an air cylinder(21). The rack gear moves right and left by the air cylinder. The converting device converts the reciprocation of the rack gear into rotary motion. The sensors detect the motion of the rack gear. The air cylinder makes the rack gear move at certain distance according to the detected result of the sensors. The converting device comprises a pinion gear(23), a one-way clutch gear(24) and a feed roller(25). The pinion gear converts right and left movement into rotary motion while engaged with the rack gear. The clutch gear gives a turning force only in one way while meshed with the pinion gear. The feed roller is formed on the same concentric-axis as the one-way clutch gear.
