PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper provided with both high water resistance and good gas permeability on side flaps and cuffs. SOLUTION: The side flaps 5 positioned outward in the transverse direction from both side edge parts 4a of a core 4 and extending in the longitudinal direction are formed of the first side part sheets 6 connected with both side parts 2a of a surface sheet 2 positioned in the neighborhood of the both side edge parts 4a of the core 4 and the second side part sheets 7 connected with both side parts 3a of a back surface sheet 3 positioned in the neighborhood of the both side edge parts 4a of the core 4 and water-resistant pressures of the first side part sheet 6 and the second side part sheet 7 are in the range of 100-1,500 mm and air-permeable resistances of the first side part sheet 6 and the second side part sheet 7 are in the range of 0.03-0.8 kPa.s/m.
