PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene excellent in stiffness and having good properties for metalizing and suitable for film forming and a film obtained by forming the polypropylene. SOLUTION: The polypropylene has following properties each having a specific range and the film is obtained by forming the propylene. (1) isotactic pentad fraction, (2) melt flow rate, (3) weight average molecular weights of soluble fractions at <=0 deg.C, <=50 deg.C, <=90 deg.C by a cross fractionation method, (4) extraction ratio by boiling pentane and (5) extraction ratio by boiling heptane.
