PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper drive system for a wiper device that has an appreciably simplified circuit configuration using fewer components. SOLUTION: A first relay Ry1 used for intermittent wiper operations is forced into an ON position even during low-speed and high-speed wiper operations, and ON-OFF control action of a second relay Ry2 switches over an excitation circuit for low-speed or high-speed drive of a wiper motor 2.
