PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper using a scraper made of a strip of thin spring steel and maintaining its wiper function even if chips bite therein. SOLUTION: The wiper 3 made of a strip of rubber is attached to the edge side 1a of an upper cover 1 which is perpendicular to the direction in which the upper cover 1 and a lower cover 2 move relative to each other, and the scraper 6 made of a strip of thin spring steel is provided which overlies the wiper 3. The end edge of the lip 6a of the scraper 6 is formed into continuously varying corrugations. The corrugated end edge of the lip 6a is pressed against the upper surface of the lower cover 2.
