PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high Cr ferritic heat resisting steel capable of withstanding the use under the high temperature steam condition of >=625 deg.C and excellent in high-temperature, long-time creep strength and toughness. SOLUTION: The high Cr ferritic heat resisting steel has a composition containing, by mass, 0.02-0.15% C, 8-13% Cr, 1-4% W, 0.1-0.7% V, 0.01-0.15% Nb and 0-1.5% Mo. Further, the total amount of precipitated intermetallic compounds is regulated to 0.5-4 mass %, and (W+2Mo) among the intermetallic compounds is made to 50-75 mass %.
