PURPOSE: An internet auction service system and method is provided to allow an automobile buyer to purchase automobiles at a lower price via an internet inverse auction. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a buyer accessing an auction service server(S100), the buyer inputting a brand name, a hopeful price, a payment condition and others(S110), the server storing the input data at a buyer database(S120), a seller accessing the auction service server(S130), the seller searching for the hopeful purchase conditions in the buyer database(S140), the seller registering participation in the auction(S150), the server detecting participations of the sellers by using an automatic action module(S160), the automatic auction module selecting one seller among the participants based on the offered conditions(S180), the server notifying the selected seller of a successful bid(S190), the successful bidder contracting with the buyer for the automobile(S200).
