摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a piston for a compressor having capability of efficiently manufacturing a hollow piston capable of maintaining its light weight when it is used for operation after assembled in the compressor. SOLUTION: A piston assembly 51 composed of a body component and a cup component is stored in the recessed storage part 50 of a cassette jig 48 and is carried as it is. When the cassette jig 48 is disposed right under a welding compartment 45, the recessed storage part 50 is in communication with the welding compartment 45 and is insulated from outside air by a sealing member 53. The pressure in the welding compartment 45 is reduced down to a high vacuum by an exhaust pump 46, and electron beam welding is applied to the junction position 67 of the piston assembly 51 in the high vacuum. After the electron beam welding is applied, the hollow part 68 of the piston assembly 51 is completely blocked up in the high vacuum.</p>
