PURPOSE: A wavelength stabilization device is provided to minimize a delay of a wavelength stabilization time generating in shutdowning/restoring a laser diode. CONSTITUTION: In a wavelength stabilization device, a laser diode part(31) includes a laser diode changing an oscillating wavelength according to a temperature to generate wavelength shift detection signals indicating level differences corresponding to a shift value of the oscillating wavelength of the laser diode and a temperature sensing signal indicating an operating temperature of the laser diode. The laser diode part adjusts the operating temperature of the laser diode depending on a temperature variable signal. A memory part stores the temperature values. An external interrupter(35) generates a cutoff mode signal for shutdowning the laser diode. A microprocessor outputs the temperature variable signal corresponding to the level differences among the detection signals to the laser diode part. The microprocessor(33) stores in the memory part the temperature value which the temperature sensing signal indicates in case that the cutoff mode signal is applied from the external interrupter. The microprocessor holds the temperature of the laser diode depending on the temperature value stored in the memory part.
