<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical writing unit employing an LED head in which generation of white streak can be prevented thoroughly without causing any variation in the magnification of main scan or deterioration in the work efficiency of process inspection at the time of manufacture. SOLUTION: In an optical writing unit employing an LED head 2 comprising a plurality of LED arrays 7, each comprising a plurality of LEDs 6 arranged on one chip, arranged in a row on a board 8, a quantity of light correction ROM 4 storing numeric data for correcting the quantity of light and an emission control section 5 are provided on an LED control board 1 as an emission correcting means which increases the emission quantity of a pair of LEDs 6, among the LEDs 6 on the LED head 2, having an interval larger than a specified value as compared with other LEDs 6.</p> |
